概覽 Overview

The Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme aims to provide students with the academic and professional preparation necessary to become competent, caring and reflective beginning teachers able to work in a range of early childhood settings and undertake further professional advancement.

Programme Features

Funded by the Government

Graduates are eligible for applying as registered Qualified Kindergarten Teachers and Registered Child Care Workers, and possess the professional qualification required of all child care supervisors

Graduates are recognised as having acquired training on the One-year In-service Course in Special Child Care Work of the Social Welfare Department

Articulation to the various undergraduate programmes offered by EdUHK, includingFull-time Senior-year Entry Bachelor's degree programmesandPart-time Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Early Childhood Education) Programmes

Full-time Senior-year Entry Bachelor's degree programmesand

Part-time Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Early Childhood Education) Programmes

Students can earn a higher diploma, a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in just five years
